Coalescence separation cartridge is used in oil-water separation systems, mainly separating oil-water mixtures, suspension solutions, emulsion solutions, etc. The process of using the coalescence separation cartridge in the system is divided into.

Solid-liquid separation --- emulsion breaking --- coalescence --- separation --- adsorption. In the system, the larger the number of coalescence cartridges and separating cartridges, the better the coalescence effect and the faster the separation speed. Two types of water treatment cartridges are currently standardised.

The coalescence cartridge has the dual function of filtering impurities from aviation paraffin and coalescence water, and is an important functional element of the fine filter.

It can meet the needs of various fine filters used in fixed mobile refuelling facilities.

Gathering separator is mainly designed for liquid-liquid separation, it contains two kinds of filter elements, namely: gathering filter element and separation filter element. For example, in the oil water removal system, after the oil flows into the coalescence separator, it first flows through the coalescence cartridge, which filters out solid impurities and agglomerates the very small water droplets into larger water droplets. The majority of the coalescence water droplets can be removed from the oil by their own weight and settle into the water collection tank. The oil then flows through the separation cartridge, which has a good hydrophilic and hydrophobic character, thus further separating the water, and finally, clean, water-free oil flows out of the agglomerate separator. The oil first enters the lower part of the filter housing through the inlet tube and then flows through the filter cartridge from outside to inside, at which point the coarser particles are immediately precipitated and released by the drain valve, while the smaller particles are intercepted by the cartridge.

Finally the clean oil is brought together by the cartridge tray and then flows out of the coalescence by the outlet pipe. As the amount of oil being treated increases, the pollutants deposited on the cartridge will cause the differential pressure of the coalescence to rise. When the differential pressure rises to 0.15Mpa, it means that the coalescence cartridge has been blocked and should be replaced. The oil flows into the primary tray from the inlet of the agglomerate separator, then diverts inside the primary cartridge, after the process of filtering, emulsion breaking, water molecules growing up and coalescence, the impurities are trapped in the primary cartridge, the agglomerate beads settle in the sedimentation tank, the oil enters the secondary cartridge from outside to inside, gathers in the secondary tray and flows out from the outlet of the agglomerate separator. The material of the secondary cartridge is water-repellent, so the oil can pass through smoothly, while the free water is blocked outside the cartridge and flows into the sedimentation tank, which is discharged through the dirt release valve.
