Hydraulic rotary filters (also known as rotary pipeline filters) are critical devices in hydraulic systems for oil purification. They achieve continuous self-cleaning through rotating filter elements, ensuring the cleanliness of system oil and extending component lifespan.
1. Working Principle
Rotary Self-Cleaning Mechanism
Hydraulic system pressure drives the filter element to rotate. As oil flows from the outside to the inside through the filter media, impurities are trapped on the surface of the filter element. As the filter element rotates, the trapped impurities are dislodged by built-in scrapers or the oil flow and collected at the bottom of the filter housing, achieving continuous filtration and self-cleaning.
Dual-Mode Protection
Normal Filtration: Oil passes through the filter cartridge into the system, with filtration precision ranging from 1-100 μm (commonly 10 μm or 25 μm).
Bypass Emergency Mode: When the filter cartridge becomes clogged, causing the pressure differential to exceed the limit (typically ≥0.35 MPa), the bypass valve automatically opens, allowing oil to bypass the filter cartridge and flow directly into the system, preventing equipment shutdown.
