The hydraulic rotary filter (also known as a rotary inline filter) is a key device for oil purification in hydraulic systems. Its rotating filter element achieves continuous self-cleaning, ensuring system oil cleanliness and extending component life.
I. Working Principle
Rotary Self-Cleaning Mechanism
Hydraulic system pressure drives the filter element to rotate. As oil flows through the filter media from the outside in, impurities are trapped on the filter element's surface. As the filter element rotates, attached impurities are removed by built-in scrapers or by the oil flow, collecting at the bottom of the filter housing for continuous filtration and self-cleaning.
Dual-Mode Guarantee
Normal Filtration: Oil enters the system after passing through the filter element, achieving a filtration accuracy of 1-100μm (10μm and 25μm are common).
Bypass Emergency: When the filter element becomes clogged and the pressure differential exceeds the limit (usually ≥0.35MPa), the bypass valve automatically opens, allowing oil to bypass the filter element and flow directly into the system, avoiding equipment downtime.
II. Core Structure and Technical Features
Modular Design
Filter Head: Made of lightweight and corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, it features an integrated transmitter interface and bypass valve. Filter Housing (Element): A steel shell encasing glass fiber filter media provides low oil flow resistance, high dirt holding capacity, and a filtration efficiency of ≥99%.
Replacement requires only the replacement of the filter element (e.g., SPX-06×25), making maintenance easy.
