Shallow sand filters consist of one or more standard high-speed sand tank units, featuring a unique distributor and collector system internally. Equipped with a distinctive automatic backwash valve, they enable sequential individual backwashing of multiple standard high-speed sand tanks during normal system operation through fully automated program control. Advantages include minimal backwash water consumption, convenient installation, and ease of operation. This equipment delivers high flow rates with minimal maintenance requirements. Available in both vertical and horizontal configurations to meet diverse user specifications, it serves water treatment needs across multiple industries.

Filtration Status

The shallow sand filter consists of multiple filtration units arranged in parallel. During filtration, raw water is evenly distributed through a proprietary water distributor, flowing in laminar flow through the filter media bed (high-grade uniform-grain quartz sand). Impurities are trapped within the media bed as water passes through. Multiple uniformly distributed collectors at the filter's base evenly gather and discharge the filtered water. This cross-flow filtration enables the filter to achieve excellent filtration results even at high flow rates.
